About Us

Iain Duncan - Founder, Principal Developer

Freelance developer and performer Iain Duncan first began programming computers with the Commodore 64 around 1986, then the C language in high school, and the Csound audio programming language as a music student at the University of British Columbia in the mid 90's. Iain soon taught himself C++, PHP, Python, PureData, and PIC Assembly, building music and graphic control applications, and linux based midi and audio performing systems. As the web exploded and became an important component in the careers of all performers, he explored web and database application development, and by 2006 noticed he was a self-employed freelance developer. Iain specializes in custom Python and PHP web and database applications for small to medium sized businesses, but if you need to control a robot with a drum machine, he can do that too.

Iain's experience in a wide variety of programming languages and application domains uniquely enables him to analyze the needs of his clients, providing solutions that strike the right balance of development cost, future extensibility, and integration with existing business processes. If he's not at the computer, Iain is likely playing a saxophone or juggling up to seven balls.

Leah Russ - Secondary Developer

Leah has completed three years of computer science at the University of British Columbia, and is presently working with Iain on web applications. Her specialty is standards compliant front end programming, where her attention to detail, expertise in XHMTL/CSS and visual sensitivity make her exceptionally thorough at rendering designer proofs into dynamic websites. However, she is also a fan of x86 assembly, network programming and software engineering. When not writing code, Leah makes visual art and sings in a community choir.
